So I wanted to use Vriska’s dicekind as a prop for photos!
However, with the dice being loose, there was a very real chance I could lose them in a convention-day and that theyd be hard to pose with.
So, I needed a way to control them! I had an idea: dice on adjustable rings! I couldnt find them for sale online, so I needed to make them from scratch. So, I bought some adjustable rings, some blue D8 dice, and some E600 Industrial Strength Glue (you dont need this much, you can get a smaller size) and set out to work!
1. Decide which digit you want facing up
2. place a dollop of the E600 on the opposite side of the digit you want facing up (if you want the 8 facing up, youd put the glue on the 7)
3. wait 30 seconds
4. place the flat part of the adjustable ring on the glue/epoxy
5. let the rings sit and let the glue cure for 24 hours
6. when youre done, the glue should be hard as a rock and keep your rings glued for ages! (you need to wait 24 hours so that the rings are safe to wear, otherwise they may stick to your finger, dislodge the dice, or stick to/ruin your armsocks if you chose to use those)
Hope this helps uvu

Mod Note: Just because someone will try this, DO NOT GLUE WHILE THE RINGS ARE ON YOUR HANDS. You will lose skin.
This is a website that has a wide variety of selections for nunchucks that you could paint! http://allninjagear.com/category/nunchucks/

So I just finished mine and my friend’s cosplay weapons and I decided I’d share the processes! They came out very well.

Here’s my tutorial on how to make Dave’s shiny broken sword!
It may not be the best tutorial since I’m still learning how to make props, but the end result is fantastic for anyone who wants to put in the effort. Probably lots of room for improvement from skilled propmakers too!

So I talked my moirail into doing a Meenah cosplay, and after searching for about a half hour, we (meaning I) found these: http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/shoes/womens-shoes/keds-champion-solid-sneakers/prod.jump?ppId=pp5002140110&N=1759%204294966617&Nao=48&pN=3&searchTerm=fuschia&topDim=Size+Range&topDimvalue=womens&dimCombo=Size+Range%7CProduct+Type%7C&dimComboVal=womens%7Cshoe%7C¤tDim=Product+Type¤tDimVal=shoe&catId=SearchResults
For Aranea I found these shoes: http://www.sears.com/covington-women-s-dapper-wedge-mary-jane-dress-shoe/p-054VA51428401P
These work for several cosplays. I have black for Jane/Aradia, and my moirail got red for her Terezi. And they’re only $15! http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=&subCatId=&skuId=090985085&productId=52869&lotId=090985&category=&catdisplayName=Womens
These I’m considering getting for a Feferi cosplay: http://www.wetseal.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=58696&categoryId=109&parentCategoryId=0&productVariantId=374882&quantity=1
Honestly not sure if I got this from here or not, but here’s a tutorial for Jane’s Skaia War Fork: http://futurejanecrocker.tumblr.com/post/35892844580/janes-fork-scepter-tutorial-updated-12-10-12
And of course, you probably have this, but still awesome: http://sweetartsandhellacrafts.tumblr.com/post/7000678501/eatable-terezi-chalk
I actually used the recipe with Kool-aid mixed in for flavors and colors. Makes it taste 100x better. I actually used the recipe to make little hearts for my friends for Valentine’s Day tomorrow.

Hello there. So a bunch of people have messaged me asking to make a tutorial for Roxy’s long-range rifle. I’m not that great at explaining things and I’ve never made a tutorial before, but I figured I’d try to help you guys and do the best I can. A lot of people think her rifle is difficult because it’s pretty big, but it’s actually simpler than making warhammers, in my opinion. First off, this tutorial is really straightforward. I suck at props, but I just paid close attention to the reference picture of the gun and I was able to just do my own thing and make it! That’s really the key: paying attention to the reference picture. Second off, I don’t have many progress pictures of the gun, so I apologize for that. Okay, so let’s get started!
To follow up on this post (and to provide some cheaper alternatives), if you want to go the color guard rifle route, your best bet is probably bandshoppe.com. CG rifles aren’t particularly canon in appearance, but depending on what you get, they’re more affordable than a lot of other fake guns.

Mod Post: That’s a good point, CG rifles aren’t always the best option out there (personally, I prefer airsoft guns) but in a pinch or for something like Eridan in Unistuck, these will only run you about $25.
Here are some possible Jade Harley rifles I found on ebay by searching “wooden rifle”:

Been to their store in Northern Ireland and they sell all sorts of things that could be used for cosplay.
They sell scars and prosthetic skin also. They also sell elf ears which I assume could be facepainted to look pointed like trolls. A few other things that were particularly noteworthy were wine bottles for Roxy’s and a chainsaw which could be given alterations to look like Kanaya’s, when in store I got perfect Dave glasses and noticed a pipe if you were cosplaying dad egbert- oh and gangster shoes that could be used for the midnight crew. It has pretty much everything Check it out if you live in the UK it’s brill!
