Stuck on Homestuck Cosplay?
Doc Scratch head

I’ve seen a post on here about using a lamp post replacement bulb cover type thing as a base for a Doc Scratch head~
As good as an idea as this is, you have to be careful with the type of globe you buy (I.e, whether it’s white or not)
For the love of god don’t buy a white one - You won’t be able to see through it and you’ll have to drill holes in it or cut a slot in it so you can see - which could be potentially dangerous, and also ruin the globe.
This tutorial gives outlines the does and don’ts of making a Doc Scratch head - http://browse.deviantart.com/photography/people/cosplay/?qh=&section=&q=doc+scratch+#/d48upor
Hopefully this will help~! :)

felt cosplaying question!
my bros and I are going to be pulling this one together, but we are a little unsure about the green.
while most of the carapaces use zentai/superfan suits, we were thinking of using makeup. this is because the faces are a little more complicated than the rest, would makeup give us a desiered effect?

If you’re just talking about your face, then yes, I think makeup should work fine. I suggest Paradise or Snazaroo, it’s what Scanty and Kneesocks cosplayers use when they have to turn red, and the color is very vibrant. Just make sure you seal your makeup properly and use high quality products so it doesn’t look like you slathered green kids facepaint on your face (I saw a spades slick do that once with black and it was not pretty oh lawd).

If you’re needing anything for your legs or hands I honestly suggest going with tights for that part.
