The Five Wits just started to sell 40” long Black clip-in braids. Which they even recommend using for Meenah. $25 for a pair.

So I saw a suggestion a while back to make the braids out of yarn, so I gave it a shot!
Here’s the tutorial, in reference to this!
(I’m in the process of making them thicker so there’s a piece that looks out of place in the picture. Hope this helps!)

It seems that every time I look at a reference for Meenah’s shoes, they are solid fushia or converse-type. But they aren’t. Her shoes go to a point in the white front section.

Just a reminder to people who want to cosplay a cannon-accurate Meenah. Also for people who draw her. It’s the number one thing I look for when I look at a pic/cosplay of her,and most people don’t do it.

This is a follow up to my previous submission about Meenah’s shoes; They’re really easy to make out of a regular show with a flat white toe. I just marked out where to cut, and then used an exact-o knife to cut the rubber. It’s glued down, so you have to also carefully separate the rubber fromt he fabric, but it’s not too hard. I’d suggest smoothing out the cut, however, so that it looks better than these. x3

Finding rhinestones big enough for Meenah’s bracelets proved to be a huge challenge, but I finally found them! The eBay seller Lolovebeads stocks fuchsia rhinestones in 18mm, 20mm, and 25mm. Look in the Buttons & Flatbacks section of the store.

Specifically, this one.
I have used these fake piercings before, and they are pretty great. They are spring-loaded instead of just split somewhere along the ring, which is great because it makes them easy to attach and unlikely to fall off.
I usually use the one I own on my lip (mostly as a part of my Dave cosplay), but I have also tried it on my ear and my eyebrow. They do cause a very small amount of discomfort, since the spring squeezes the skin, but they look very realistic. I have been asked several times when wearing mine if I am really pierced.
Here’s the link to them again: http://www.shecoolhecool.com/2009o121.html

In this post, somebody recommended buying shecoolhecool.com’s gold silver spring hoops for fake eyebrow piercings, and I just wanted to rave about how well they worked and show what I did to make them work!
tutorial under the cut because I included pictures:
So I talked my moirail into doing a Meenah cosplay, and after searching for about a half hour, we (meaning I) found these: http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/shoes/womens-shoes/keds-champion-solid-sneakers/prod.jump?ppId=pp5002140110&N=1759%204294966617&Nao=48&pN=3&searchTerm=fuschia&topDim=Size+Range&topDimvalue=womens&dimCombo=Size+Range%7CProduct+Type%7C&dimComboVal=womens%7Cshoe%7C¤tDim=Product+Type¤tDimVal=shoe&catId=SearchResults
For Aranea I found these shoes: http://www.sears.com/covington-women-s-dapper-wedge-mary-jane-dress-shoe/p-054VA51428401P
These work for several cosplays. I have black for Jane/Aradia, and my moirail got red for her Terezi. And they’re only $15! http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=&subCatId=&skuId=090985085&productId=52869&lotId=090985&category=&catdisplayName=Womens
These I’m considering getting for a Feferi cosplay: http://www.wetseal.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=58696&categoryId=109&parentCategoryId=0&productVariantId=374882&quantity=1
Honestly not sure if I got this from here or not, but here’s a tutorial for Jane’s Skaia War Fork: http://futurejanecrocker.tumblr.com/post/35892844580/janes-fork-scepter-tutorial-updated-12-10-12
And of course, you probably have this, but still awesome: http://sweetartsandhellacrafts.tumblr.com/post/7000678501/eatable-terezi-chalk
I actually used the recipe with Kool-aid mixed in for flavors and colors. Makes it taste 100x better. I actually used the recipe to make little hearts for my friends for Valentine’s Day tomorrow.

This looks like a nice wig for someone who doesn’t want to add extensions. The top of the wig is short like Meenah’s too. I’ve ordered wigs from this seller for 5 years now. They’re always super good quality and cheap.
If you want to add extensions to a short wig, than I would recommend these.

i found the old listing for the red hooks glasses i was talking about: right over here
they’re a bit too pink but i think you can repaint them if you’re careful about the lens part
