I recently bought a pair of Vassen Cloud Nine Pink contacts for my Roxy cosplay from pinkyparadise.com, and I can personally confirm that they work extremely well.

The color is very bright and noticeable and make my eyes look larger. The retailer (Pinky Paradise) provided good, uncomplicated service with no issues whatsoever. The package took a few weeks to ship, but that is hardly anything to complain about considering that every other aspect of the buying process was pain-free.

I would recommend any of the Vassen Cloud Nine contacts— they’re some of the best I’ve found yet. I’ve had my share of experiences with crappy contacts, but I’m very much pleased with these.

MOD NOTE: PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TYPES OF CONTACTS EITHER EXTREMELY HINDER OR COMPLETELY BLOCK YOUR VISION. 

Normally what you will see cosplayers use is a mesh lens, like the ones that can be found here. With these mesh lenses, your eye is only about 50% covered, and while everything seems fairly blurry, vision is still possible and you can get around on your own.

With these contacts, because they cover your ENTIRE eye with no breaking points, YOU WILL NEED A HANDLER. The first two posted are translucent, and you may be able to see a bit out of them, but your vision will be HEAVILY impaired. For the next two you will be completely blind. While these are cool, and I have used them before, I can only recommend them for private photoshoots where you put the contacts in, get the shot with friends leading you and posing you, then take them immediately out. 

Don’t get me wrong, these contacts are safe for use, and they give a really cool effect, but I want to emphasize that no one attempt to go around a convention in them, especially the completely opaque ones. Know what you are buying before you buy them. If you want dead contacts that you can function in, check the link to honeycolor that I put at the start of the mod note and look for “white mesh” lenses instead.

advice to cosplayers wearing contacts from someone who’s had them for six years: always ALWAYS have contact solution. bring it to the con, bring it everywhere you have those contacts. if you cry, they could dry out; if they fall out you obviously have a problem; and if they’re bothering your eyes DO NOT RUB THEM!!! it can damage your eyes, if you rub them too much you might rip the contacts (i know from personal experience). chances are there’s just makeup or a speck of dust, that’s not worth wasting the money you spent! take them out, wash them with SOLUTION (not regular water) then put them back in. i’d be blind without the stuff

Okay so in this post Pinky Paradise was mentioned, and its a great place to find pretty much all of the kids eye colors! Here look, I found so many that could work:

John- I found a few he’s pretty easy to find I hardly tried 

Rose- To my pleasant surprise found quite a few that could work for her

Jade- I found some possibilities here

Dave- Found two (really good ones)

Jane- Was surprisingly really difficult but here

Roxy- Here I found some more

Jake- I found so many I don’t think I’ll even include them all wait I think I just did

Dirk- He was difficult but these could work maybe

Some of these links aren’t to Pinky Paradise, I know, I just found them when looking for other stuff so I included them too.

I’m no expert but I’ve discovered that when buying contacts you have to take highly into account your own natural eye color. If your eye color is dark its gonna show; most off the models have dark eyes, so if you have light eyes like me, then just remember they’ll look totally different on you (depending on the contacts actually some of the colors show up more than others). Try to find a review by or a picture of someone with a similar eye color to your’s so you get a better idea what it may look like on you. Also you may be able to find better prices on these and/or a better sizing/prescription selection by searching the name of the contacts you want in Google, but be careful where you buy from.

I have two more sites you may want to check out are here and here I think its easiest to find what you’re looking for when sorting by color. Remember to be careful! This is your sight on the line! Although Terezi can see through smell and taste us humans can’t, so go to an optometrist to get your eyes measured and everything before you go buying random contacts and sticking them in your eyes! yet another roxy post/review

being someone who has to wear prescription contact lenses, its usually hard to find cheap coloured contacts without them being £40-£60 or so, bUT, i found another option which is circle lenses

i bought mine from pinkyparadise and they are cloud nine pink by vassen and the colour they give iS BEAUTIFUL and really great for roxy!! they were only actually £20 and the fact that they’re circle lenses could be an added bonus for some cosplayers! plus you get a free totally kawaii lense case they even last for a year which is really quite good uwu

i actually have blue eyes and they show up really brightly on mine and i’ve heard they show up great on dark eyes too!! i’d give them about a 4 or 5/5 for comfort because for me they’re pretty comfy even though my eyes arent quite used to the size yet! eue

here’s what they look like (sorry the photo is kinda huge):

they’re actually more of a deeper bright pink colour in real life, not as pale as they are there (my dad and i used a lot of light and a reflector for the photo) and i really recommend them if you’re a roxy cosplayer!! vuv

Been to their store in Northern Ireland and they sell all sorts of things that could be used for cosplay.

They sell scars and prosthetic skin also. They also sell elf ears which I assume could be facepainted to look pointed like trolls. A few other things that were particularly noteworthy were wine bottles for Roxy’s and a chainsaw which could be given alterations to look like Kanaya’s, when in store I got perfect Dave glasses and noticed a pipe if you were cosplaying dad egbert- oh and gangster shoes that could be used for the midnight crew. It has pretty much everything Check it out if you live in the UK it’s brill!

I ripped one of my mesh contacts at AUSA and plan to cosplay Kurloz again at Katsu but don’t wanna buy a new pair. Any help is greatly appreciated!
