General Advice: For most cosplay, you’ll want a little bit of makeup to make your skin look great in photos. Even if you have flawless skin, a funny angle or an intense flash can make natural skin look funny, shiny, or blotchy. I use this tutorial followed by this one for female cosplays.  You may not need every single step (I especially think a lot of the eye makeup steps/false eyelashes are unnecessary), and do makeup tests prior to your convention or photoshoot and have a friend or family member take a few flash pictures of you so you can troubleshoot.
