Well it depends on the length of the existing coat. If the coat is long, simply cut the bottom of it out in the shape you need and re-hem the edges. If it’s shorter you’ll have to find fabric that matches the coat itself and attach them to the bottom. That’s what a friend if mine did for her Snowman cosplay, and what another friend did for his Calmasis cosplay which upon looking back has essentially the same design.
