Stuck on Homestuck Cosplay?
Vriska’s Roboarm

I recently posted a bunch of pictures of the roboarm I created for my Vriska cosplay (there’s also more here of me actually wearing it).  Within those pictures is, well, not so much a tutorial as it is a write-up of my experiences making (and wearing) it.

A lot of design was my own messing around with the materials, but the technique and some of the patterns for the pieces are based on this automail-making tutorial.  It’s made almost entirely out of acetate and craft foam and lots of hotglue (which was cause for many problems, but there’s also notes on how I fixed that).  I can’t say it’s an easy nor cheap way to make this arm, but despite everything, it’s super convincing and hella satisfying to put something like this on my cosplay resume.

Mod Note: /casually burns Vriska robotarm jk mine was awful anyway. This is one of the most IMPRESSIVE arms ive ever seen before. Good job to you, holy mother of christ.

Mod #2 Note: WOW HEY CONVERGENCE. And your arm is INCREDIBLE.
