I recently made horns out of stuff just lying around the house. I dont have any model magic clay or anything of the sort and didnt have money, but I found some foam and duct tape. I cut the foam in the shape of the horn and went around the exterior with duct tape, then painted it (heavily) with acrylic paint. Now, I made Terezi horns and clearly this wouldnt work for, prolly most of the trolls....

Hi! I have yet another suggestion for Terezi shoes. I bought these bad boys, and hot glued buttons to them. I like the look of the suede, and I also like that there aren’t any white rubber parts to the shoe. Cheap colored prescription contacts!
So I did a little research, and I found a site called youknowit.com. If you give them your prescription, you can get a pair of of colored contacts with that prescription. There are many types, including orange, red, black, pink, purple, etc. While I haven’t found any full eye contacts yet, there are sections for specific cosplay contacts.

You can order them in prescription or clear, and they have really good selection, at a reasonable price. Everyone in my family who wears glasses buys from them, and the only real problem is how long it takes for them to make and ship them, so don’t order right before a con or anything.

Rather than spending money on mascara that you’ll probably only use for one costume, you can use just a plain white mascara, and just paint over it with any color liquid eyeliner. If it’s too clumpy you can use a clean mascara brush to “comb” your lashes out. It’s a lot easier to find colored liquid liner in local stores, than it is to find colored mascaras.

Cheap Troll Horns
So basically, instead of making horns out of model magic, you can just print them out with paper. They look relatively nice, but perhaps a little boxy. If theyre too boxy but you want to use the model as a base, then you print it out in white, fill it with newspaper, cover it in bondo and resin and then paint it :) Cheap, lightweight results either way!

When making foil horns...
Alrighty, about foil horns. I found that if you try to scrunch it up into a ball or something similar to that, it will not work well.
At all.
If you try to roll it and scrunch it at the same time, it works a lot better. And if you try to cover your horns with Scotch tape, chances are it will end badly. Your fury will spill out your windows, and flatten some innocent hobo just outside, like...

Terezi Flarp/Redglare Tips
For those making a dragon cane, either for Redglare or Flarping Terezi, I suggest you make a wire frame out of something like a hanger and then stuff it with tin foil and hold it together with masking tape. Troll Nail Polish Option
I haven’t used this in costume yet, but I think it might be a good nail polish. It’s Clair’s Mood Nail Polish- Daring/Innocent. It changes between a gray (when cold) and a light yellow (when warm). Some canon pics of trolls don’t show the nail color, so gray could work for cosplay and other times yellow is shown on troll nails. I think this is a good compromise :)

How to remove PAX paint.
I know this sounds crazy but it’s worked for me. Step one. Soak in the shower, but instead of a body wash, use a hand soap.
Step two. Get a sponge (Like the ones used for kitchen cleaning) and scrub it off! —- It should come off pretty easily! Hope this helped!

RE: Kryolan
i use kryolan myself because it’s lighter on the face. so if you have sensitive skin, kryolan is a good choice because it doesn’t gunk up and clog everything ever! and yes, it is water activated so a little bit of water will make the paint go on nice and even.

Cheap Alternative to Sollux glasses
